The Power of Forgiveness was born from a meeting of stories — my own, and that of Immaculée Ilibagiza, a survivor of the Rwandan genocide who chose to forgive the unforgivable. Her journey revealed to me that forgiveness is not about changing the past, but about reclaiming our future.
In my own life, I carried hidden wounds — the absence of a father, silences that weighed heavily, and the pain of truths discovered too late. For a long time, I stood in the shadows of anger and incomprehension. But like Immaculée, I came to realize that choosing forgiveness was not about condoning, but about freeing myself. It was the moment I understood that love is stronger than resentment, and that peace begins the instant we release the chains of bitterness.
The textures and layers of this painting reflect that passage: from darkness into light, from fracture into wholeness. It is both a testimony and a guide — a reminder that we always have the power to transform pain into strength, and loss into love.
Through The Power of Forgiveness, I invite you to walk that path with me: to see forgiveness as an act of courage, a return to love, and a door opening to the infinite.
