Stand in the Way of Your Own Light, Morocco emerged from the sacred stillness of the Moroccan desert—a place where silence speaks louder than words, and everything superfluous dissolves into sand and sky.

This piece is a mirror. It reflects the inner space I touched in that journey—one where the absence of distraction revealed a presence I had long buried. In the vast emptiness of the desert, I could finally see what was always there: my own light, dimmed by fear, doubt, and self-sabotage.

The title is a gentle yet firm reminder: we are often the only ones standing in the way of our own radiance.

The painting expresses that moment of clarity when you realize that the obstacle is not outside—it’s within. The layers of self-protection, the masks we wear, the stories we repeat… they are all sandstorms that cloud the brilliance at our core.

The desert, in its infinite simplicity, helped me reconnect with that truth. Its raw beauty and timeless silence stripped me bare, and I saw not just the light, but also the shadows I had avoided. And yet, both had something to teach.

Beyond the visual, this artwork carries a frequency: one of liberation, of truth, and of radical self-acceptance.
